Realizing an overdue dream

I considered having plastic surgery years ago but to be honest didn't have enough courage. I couldn't afford surgery in Australia and always wondered what it would be like overseas.

Being very petite, I always found it hard to get clothes to fit me, especially around the bust as I was a 10A cup. I was talking to a friend who recently had a Breast Augmentation in Australia and she knew of someone who was traveling overseas for the op. She told me it was heaps cheaper and was gaining a holiday as well!

As I looked into it more, I came across Gorgeous Getaways. The packages looked amazing and I was definitely needing a holiday. After speaking with the Gorgeous Getaways girls and studying the hospitals and surgeons overseas, I finally booked my trip as I had been thinking about it for so long, I just wanted to go.

I was happy to travel on my own as this was an independent decision. I also didn't want many people to know I was going because I knew they would probably try to stop me! The Gorgeous Getaways girls also told me that even if I was traveling alone, there will be heaps of support pre and post op and that I would also meet some wonderful people going through the same thing.

Being a 10A cup, sometimes padded bras didn't look good on me as I really didn't have much to put in them! I realized surgery was a massive decision but I was ready for a change. What impressed me more about traveling overseas was that no one knew me, I can heal in my own space and visit some beautiful places.

Clearly beyond expectation

I decided to have my surgery with Dr Heng in KL and arranged to stay there for 2 weeks. The Gorgeous Getaways girls organized everything from flights, accommodation, doctor appointments. I didn't have to do anything, just turn up!

I was very nervous leaving Melbourne as this was a huge decision and being on my own was a scary thought. As soon as I boarded the plane I was ok as I knew at KL airport there was someone picking me up and taking me to my hotel, that Gorgeous Getaways had organized.

My first impressions of arriving at KL were "Oh my god, what have I done?!!" but the nerves went away very quickly after my porter collected me and took me to Lanson Hotel.

The hotel was amazing, from the moment I arrived, the staff treated me like a queen. The Gorgeous Getaways girls introduced themselves and made me feel very welcome. I had an appointment to visit Dr. Heng and after talking about surgery and deciding what cup size to be, I started relaxing. I had 2 days until surgery and couldn't wait.

After surgery, it took 3 days before I could get out and about. The Gorgeous Getaways girls were very helpful as I couldn't do much on my own. They visited my room regularly and made sure I was ok as I didn't have anyone else to help me. I will never forget the support I received - mentally and physically, as this will always be remembered.

I would highly recommend booking through Gorgeous Getaways and if considering Breast Augmentation, Dr Heng is the surgeon. He was very understanding, helpful with answering any questions and more importantly, very caring. The Gorgeous Getaways girls arranged lunch and get togethers which I loved because it was a good chance to meet new people and learn about how they were recovering.

New boobs and new love

I am now a size 10C and very happy with my results. It's been 6 months since surgery and am loving my new look. No more padded bras! I have had a lot of positive feedback from friends and have no regrets about traveling overseas for surgery. I've now found the love of my life and very happy in a relationship. He loves my breasts as I do but more importantly, I'm happy with who I am.

I am a very healthy person and look after myself with vitamins and herbs. My naturopath sent me overseas with a number of vitamins to take pre and post op. This definitely sped up my recovery.

My advice to anyone considering surgery is speak to the Gorgeous Getaways girls first. Ask as many questions you need to and if it's been on your mind for a while - just do it! You will be so happy with the results and service.
