Tennielle today - Living life and loving it!

Tennielle tells her story:

I have wanted a breast enlargement since I was about 18. There are 2 main reasons for this.

I was quite overweight when I was younger, and when I was 16, I decided to do something about it. I undertook a strict diet and started to exercise everyday to lose the "puppy fat" that I have had all my life. I wanted a lot for my future, had many goals and did not want to spend my life being overweight. I wanted to be healthy, and healthy I was not. The first place I lost my weight from was my upper body, particularly my breasts. I probably lost a total of 15kg and have kept the weight off ever since. The only bad outcome of losing the weight was that my breasts were not only tiny (smaller than an A Cup) but they were quite saggy. So, I found myself to be a 22-year old young woman with small "saggy" breasts. It was quite unfair to still be unhappy with my body after all the hard work I had put in over the years.

What could I do?

The second reason was because I had a 1.8cm lump in my left breast that was benign and was made out of my breast tissue. So if I were to have this removed, I would then lose even more of my breast. In the end, I found what I had to do to make myself feel fabulous and I did. I contacted Gorgeous Getaways and organized a new happy me.

Customer service above all

My decision to book an overseas procedure at first was simply financial. To have the breast enlargement done and to have my lump removed in Australia would have cost around $12000. I could not afford it and would not allow myself to spend that much money on me. To me, "that is a house deposit or a new car".

So I started researching overseas. Gorgeous Getaways was the first company I discovered. I was drawn to GG and impressed by their web page compared to others. I sent them an email late at night with my enquiries and awoke the next morning to a response. How efficient is that, I thought. Not only were Gorgeous Getaways efficient, the contacts were so friendly and very helpful. I had so many questions and emailed them 1000 times and each time I had a quick friendly reply.

From day one I just felt like Gorgeous Getaways were the right people for me. In the end, the reason for me choosing not only overseas but for choosing Gorgeous Getaways came down to the customer service. All my questions had been answered and in the end, I felt safe and confident in my decision. I was doing the right thing and I was proud!

I was so excited when I finally had booked it all in. I could not believe after all these years I had finally done it. I started to tell close friends and family about my decision. I booked my holiday 1 year in advance. When I first booked it in I thought "it is going to take forever", however the day had arrived before I knew it, and here I was sitting on the plane about to take the next step for the new me.

Feeling special and at ease

When I arrived in KL (11pm at night) we were picked up by a driver organized by Gorgeous Getaways. He was lovely and took us straight to the hotel. We checked in and retired for the evening. The next morning, I was met by a Gorgeous Getaways representative, Sal. She was amazing my nerves instantly dissolved away. I felt so comfortable and trusting. I thought "this is going to be perfect". And that it was.

I was lucky enough to meet my surgeon Dr Nasir in Australia for a consultation when Gorgeous Getaways organized him to visit. This made me feel even more confident as I could ask questions and could get confirmation about the procedure from home before flying over to a country I had never been to visit before. Meeting Dr Nasir was great. I found him to be very professional and he really cared about what I wanted. Yes, HE CARED!!

I met with Dr Nasir again in KL before my surgery at the hospital. Tawakal Hospital Impressed me immensely it was very clean and the nurses were amazing. I had 2 fabulous nurses looking after me, they made me feel so special and at ease because I knew that I would be well looked after. My partner stayed the night with me; they provided extra pillows and blankets to make us extra comfortable. We were in our own private room, together and happy.

Before I flew over to KL, I did a lot to prepare for my surgery. I was exercising twice a day getting fit, eating healthy, I was taking zinc, multi-vitamins and a health supplement called arnica (which Gorgeous Getaways suggested to me). I wanted to prepare my body and get it in prime condition.

In on Monday, out by Tuesday

I was very nervous before the surgery; I had never even been in a hospital before so all this was a little daunting. My Gorgeous Getaways representative picked me up 10am; I was admitted and lying in a hospital bed by 11am and found myself in the operating theatre by noon. Between 11am and noon I was prepped for surgery; given my gown and had the tube put in my arm for the anesthetic. I had a couple of nurses’ check in on me to see that I was ok and not too nervous. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

When I awoke from the surgery, it felt like I had been asleep for about 30 seconds and could not believe it was all over. When I first woke, I was in a lot of pain. But the nurses were quick to act and gave me a lovely thing called morphine. The morphine settled my pain and I basically slept for the rest of the day. I did not find the pain to be unbearable; it was more uncomfortable.

I was operated on the Monday lunchtime and was discharged from the hospital on the Tuesday. I was sent back to the hotel with pain killers, antibiotics and a wonderful sleeping pill, which came in handy at night.

Shopping by Thursday

I was really surprised about how quick I recovered. Actually, I was more shocked because I was up and shopping by Thursday. I decided to not lie in bed all day; started to think positive and get out and about. I was very swollen for about 5 days but I just put on a baggy shirt and you could not notice.

My main activity that I did for the 2 weeks was shop, can you think of something better to do? I also went on a Gorgeous Getaways day out to see the Fireflies. This was amazing it was one of the highlights of my trip.

With only one day to go I really started to think about home and how I would tell people and what their reactions would be. I was so scared and excited all at the same time. I loved the new me and could not wait to show it off.

10A to 10D and loving it!

Time has moved on since my surgery and all I can say is - WOW!!! I feel amazing and I have been told I look amazing! I have gone from being a 10A to a 10D; my breats look so natural and suit my body perfectly. Not too big, not too small.

I feel feminine and I am now comfortable in my own skin. There is a much better range of clothing I can wear and I can now buy sexy lingerie. I love sexy lingerie.

My confidence had tripled and I just feel incredible. I couldn’t wait for summer! Bring on that bikini (the one thing I use to dread).

My relationship with my partner has always been perfect. He has always loved me and has always loved my body. The big thing now is I love my body. That is the best thing, loving yourself.

Do it while you're young

For those that have ever thought or considered a breast augmentation; I would say to research it 100% and make sure you understand all methods of how it is done, understand the consequences and then if you want it then do it! Do it whilst you’re young enough to enjoy it. What is the point in having regrets and saying "I wish I had done that".

Live life the way you want to, don't worry about other people’s opinions and judgments because at the end of the day you want to be happy.
