Carol's surgery and holiday

After having three children, my breast were deflated and it made me feel not good about myself. The reason I decided to go overseas was cost and time to recover with support and have a holiday at the same time.

I felt that surgery was the only option for my breasts and nose. After checking the internet and watching some tv programmes, I knew I would be nervous but still felt it was the right thing for me.

I was very nervous but the surgeon was nice and easy to talk to. The hospital and staff took great care of me. Gorgeous Getaways staff also looked after me very well. Before surgery, I was very scared but surprisingly relaxed as staff very caring and helpful. I stayed 2 nights in hospital as traveled on my own, so felt needed a little extra time to recover.

I healed up very quickly and was out walking around in a few days. I rested a lot as well. I started going out on the train to Twin Towers for shopping each day for a hour or to get out for a walk each day. I was bruised for about a week all up. I just wore sun glasses when I was out. I was very glad to be going home as I missed my kids and contact with them was not so easy for me.

I have no regrets about what have done. It was worth all the pain and discomfort was only for a short time. It was the right thing for me. It's been 7 months now and I am very happy with my new look now as scarring is nearly all gone.
